“Our Company has a long history of giving to the local communities that are our neighbors. Our employees are from these communities and are proud to be a part of making each and every one better.”

Being a good neighbor comes in various forms and goodwill giving is one way we do that. We work with local communities where we live and work to determine their specific needs. We’ve helped with emergency equipment and providing bottled water for community events.
• Hurricane Katrina and the four 2004 Florida hurricanes are recent examples of our emergency relief efforts. In these instances, we provided to communities financial aid, as well as bottled water, to assist relief efforts.
• Water education is also important. Since 1992, we have sponsored Project WET (Water Education for Teachers). This international, non-profit water science and education program reaches children, parents, educators and communities worldwide through classroom-ready teaching aids, as well as state and internationally sponsored programs.
• Another aspect of our community involvement is water stewardship. Here, we support a variety of programs that promote conservation and protect the environment, from The Nature Conservancy in Maine and the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund in Michigan.
• Many of our operations are in small, rural communities. Therefore there are many local charities in these towns that have counted on Nestlé Waters North America support.
• And when it comes to today’s thirst for a healthier lifestyle, Nestlé Waters North America helps meet that need and creates awareness through sponsorship of a variety of programs, such as the ING New York City Marathon and its Central Park Health & Fitness Expo, and the Core Tour action sports and music festival in Venice, California.
