“Nestlé Waters [North America] may be more conscious than most corporations about the need for leadership in environmental stewardship. It stakes its reputation, as well as the high-quality of its water beverage product, on the natural resources of the environment. Choosing to build the company’s newest bottling plants according to the USGBC-LEED rating system was completely consistent with the company’s philosophy...Decisions about maintaining functioning ecosystems on Nestlé Waters’ sites are based upon maintaining and promoting a healthy hydrologic cycle...The company has applied its significant knowledge base in water resources, watershed ecosystems, and hydraulic functioning to the task. The results provide an excellent example for corporate responsibility.”

Green Building Materials: A Guide to Product Selection and Specification

It takes 7,500 people each striving for excellence everyday to honor our commitment to the environment.

That commitment starts at the source with water resource practices which are, in our experience, unparalleled.  Our Natural Resource Managers have a particular passion for doing right by the environment.  They are the guardians of our springs, from spring site selection to the long-term monitoring of aquifers and their surrounding environment.  The investment in science and oversight made by Nestlé Waters North America supports keeping our springs sustainable.

Environmental excellence doesn’t stop there.  Those employees working in our plants operate under the Nestlé Environmental Management System.  This system emphasizes continuous improvement and monitoring of environmental performance.

We also do our part in ways that include recycling materials, lightweighting our packaging and building “green design” bottling facilities.
