Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

At Nestlé Waters North America, we are at the forefront of eco-friendly building. In recent years, we have led the industry in meeting the U.S. Green Building Council’s stringent LEED standards for sustainable design.

Together, our nine facilities have reduced:

  • -Energy Use: 29 million KWH
  • -Water Use: 1.3 million gallons
  • -Solid Waste: 42 million lbs

Take a peek into LEED certification

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to provide precise and measurable methods for green building design.

For beverage plants, the LEED certification involves:
  • Water safeguards, water efficiency
  • Nontoxic building materials and maintenance
  • Resource efficiencies, waste reduction
  • Minimal impact exterior lighting
  • Indoor environmental quality
  • Constructed wetlands

We’re committed to energy reduction

Today, we have nine manufacturing plants – more than 3.5 million square feet – designed and built to meet LEED certification.

Nestlé Waters North America’s Response to the LEED Challenge
