Zephyrhills® Brand Supports “Make-A-Splash” Project WET Festival at Crystal Springs Preserve Providing Hands-On Water Education to Local Elementary Students

Festival is part of a series of community events Nestlé Waters North America 
will take part in across the country in 2014

Crystal Springs, FL – February 28, 2014 – Nestlé Waters North America announced today it will be a proud supporter of the eighth annual “Make-A-Splash” Project WET Festival at the Crystal Springs Preserve on Friday, February 28. The support is in celebration of Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water’s 50th anniversary and in anticipation of World Water Day on March 22. More than 400 fourth grade students from Hillsborough and Pasco counties will experience a full day of hands-on activities meant to promote awareness of water resources. Zephyrhills® Brand representatives will volunteer their time, joining the staff from Crystal Springs Preserve to educate the children. 

In partnership with Project WET, the Zephyrhills® Brand aims to provide children, parents, educators and influencers in the community with the resources to further their knowledge of water.  Nestlé Waters supports Project WET in many communities around the world, helping kids appreciate and conserve water in a way that is as much educational as it is fun.

Over the past seven years, the “Make-A-Splash” Project WET Festival has educated over 2,500 Floridian students.  Festival activities include learning sessions on water quality, a tour of the spring, a presentation on Florida’s aquaculture and arts and crafts.  The festival occurs annually and is sponsored by Zephyrhills® and the Crystal Springs Foundation.
