More than 650 students from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, NY graduated during the university's 155th Commencement in the Reilly Center Arena on Sunday, May 15. The university awarded an honorary degree to Nestlé Waters North America President & CEO Tim Brown, St. Bonaventure Class of 1985, who provided the keynote address.
Tim urged the students to be themselves in personal and professional life. He named St. Bonaventure’s the Rev. Dan Reilly, O.F.M., among his “most profound” mentors. He went on to share that “mistakes” and “heartache” along the journey are a “fire” and “a source of power.”
Vulnerability can be positive, he added. “What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful. There’s a word for it. It’s called authentic.”
