Nestlé Waters North America CEO Tim Brown was presented with the “Heart of Gold” award in Stamford on April 9 for his leadership and support of NWNA’s employee volunteering programs and their impact on Stamford, as well as NWNA communities across the country. Presented by the United Way of Western Connecticut Volunteer Center, this prestigious award is reserved for business leaders who commit to community support by building volunteerism into their strategic business plans.
NWNA’s culture of giving back to our communities was on full display. The company was recognized for its participation in programs including Project Picnic, mentoring, and community clean-up events. The Volunteer Center showed special gratitude for those projects impacting the community of Stamford, Conn. - a town which Tim acknowledged has warmly embraced the company since its move there in 2010.
Before an audience of business colleagues, suppliers, customers, community leaders and friends, Tim made it clear that the award wasn’t for him, but for all the employees of Nestlé Waters North America.
