COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE FOR EVART RECYCLING CENTER TO TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, JULY 13
Nestlé Waters Provides Funding for “Recycle Bulls” to Expand Recycling Efforts in Evart
A local 4-H Club and their leader, Doug Rueffer and his family, have been leading an area recycling initiative, named the “Recycle Bulls,” for more than ten years. In 2018, Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) donated a building to the group to provide them with a location to build their recycling program. NWNA, in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful, provided additional funding needed to complete the building construction, including electricity, paving and other building upgrades. The funding also enabled the group to purchase two balers and a forklift truck.
To officially dedicate the recycling center, a community open house will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Light refreshments will be served. The event, which is open to the public, is in conjunction with the center’s normal operating hours, which are the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon throughout the year.
In addition to the recycling center building, NWNA donated a second building to the Osceola County Fairgrounds. This building is used to house animals during Fair Week and provide space for events and classes taking place during events like the Woodcarving and Dulcimer Festivals.
