Arrowhead Brand Mountain Spring Water Celebrates America Recycles Day with the launch of its new ReBorn bottle

On November 15, America Recycles Day, Arrowhead® Brand 100% Mountain Spring Water is launching its new ReBorn bottle in California, made with 50% recycled plastic. Arrowhead® is one of the only major bottled water brands on the West Coast to utilize recycled plastic, and the new ReBorn bottle helps save resources while using 15% less energy in production than it takes to produce bottles from all-new materials.

To celebrate the launch of the ReBorn bottle, Arrowhead® is partnering with Keep California Beautiful (KCB) to promote America Recycles Day in San Francisco. Arrowhead and KCB are hosting 250 volunteers for a recycling education and beautification event near historic Fisherman’s Wharf. To help with local recycling efforts, Arrowhead® is also funding four solar-powered BigBelly bins that serve as a one-stop solution for recyclables, compostables and trash. These BigBelly units will offer long-term, expanded recycling for visitors to Fisherman’s Wharf and Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Arrowhead® is also launching the “Recycling is a Beautiful Thing” campaign to encourage people to recycle and spread the word about the importance of recycling. An interactive program hosted on the brand’s Facebook page demonstrates Arrowhead’s support of recycled materials and features educational information and creative artists who use recycled materials in their work.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the ReBorn bottle in California. Our goal is to keep valuable plastic materials from being discarded by encouraging recycling and using recycled plastic in our products,” said Gigi Leporati, Arrowhead® Brand Manager. The ReBorn bottle is a symbol of our ongoing effort to reduce and recycle resources.”

Consumers can purchase the .5 liter 50% rPET Arrowhead® bottles in the same convenient locations in California where Arrowhead® is already available. Eventually, the company plans to sell Arrowhead® .5 liter 50% rPET bottles throughout California and the Western region.
