Nestlé Waters North America has joined the Rocky Mountain Institute’s Business Renewable Center (BRC) as a founding member. The BRC is “a collaborative platform aimed at accelerating corporate renewable energy procurement.” Nestlé Waters North America will be one of several corporations helping the BRC reach its goal of adding another 60 gigawatts of wind and solar energy by 2025.
“Nestlé Waters North America is committed to incorporating renewable energy. To be sustainable for the long term, these projects also need to be economically viable. We have already moved forward with wind energy projects in Southern California and are working to find more opportunities. Our work with the BRC will help us get there faster,” said Tim Brown, Nestlé Waters North America CEO.
