On September 1, Nestlé Waters North America received a proclamation from the East Porterville, CA Board of Supervisors in recognition of the company’s contribution to their relief efforts. NWNA began donating bottled water to the community in 2014, and to date has donated more than 11,000 cases of bottled water in 2015.
Well failures in East Porterville have left approximately 3,000 residents without running water. NWNA’s bottled water donations have helped provide a much needed resource in support of local communities.
Regional Business Development Manager John Donaldson accepted the proclamation on behalf of Larry Lawrence, Natural Resource Manager and Transportation Manager, Anthony Conrad of the Ontario bottling facility. During the Board of Supervisors meeting, the Tulare Office of Emergency Services Manager Andrew Lockman spoke about the proclamation. Following presentation of the proclamation by Board of Supervisors Chairman, Steven Worthley, John Donaldson spoke about what the proclamation means to NWNA and its support of our local California community.
“On behalf of all 7,000 Nestlé employees in California, we appreciate receiving this proclamation today. We would also like to recognize the dedicated men and women in Tulare county who have been instrumental in helping to make sure water gets to communities and residents in need. Our California roots run deep and we care about our neighbors in Tulare County. We are honored to be part of this community and to contribute where we can,” said John.
