Poland Spring Joins Wreaths Across America Caravan

Poland Spring Wreaths Across America

Maine’s iconic spring water will be part of 10-truck convoy traveling to Arlington National Ceremony

Poland Spring Water Company has been selected as a 2013 participant in the Wreaths Across America (WAA) truck caravan delivering more than 100,000 balsam wreaths from Maine to Washington D.C. to lay on military graves at Arlington National Cemetery. Poland Spring has customized and branded a 53-ft. tractor-trailer to depict the new partnership and mission of WAA and will provide a driver to make the journey to the nation’s capital.

Auburn, Maine resident Mike Lachance, a 30-year Poland Spring employee (27 years as a transport driver) and a military veteran himself, has been chosen as the driver. Lachance, accompanied by his wife Norma, will drive the special Poland Spring tractor-trailer containing wreaths and bottled water as part of the 10-truck caravan traveling from Maine to Washington D.C.  Lachance will also provide Poland Spring water to military veterans and the public at designated wreath laying stops along the route to D.C.

Over the past two weeks, the customized tractor-trailer has been on display at various locations across central and southern Maine, as well as at the Hollis and Poland bottling plants.  It was also present at Pearl Harbor Remembrance events organized by local veterans groups that took place December 7 in Fryeburg and Sanford.

The WAA caravan leaves Maine on December 9 and arrives in Washington D.C. on Saturday, December 14th, making these stops along the way. For more details, visit
