(NWNA) today announced that its ReadyRefresh by Nestlé direct-to-consumer beverage delivery service has achieved carbon neutrality and earned the CarbonNeutral company certification for the year 2020 in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol (pdf, 4Mb), a global standard for carbon neutral programs. ReadyRefresh provides convenient access to a variety of leading healthy beverage brands with an easy-to-shop website and flexible delivery options in the U.S.
This achievement builds on ReadyRefresh’s continuous journey to reduce its environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions through multiple initiatives, including:
- Fleet improvements: ReadyRefresh is on track to convert 50% of its beverage delivery trucks to propane this year and has started to add electric vehicles to its last-mile fleet.
- Route optimization: ReadyRefresh has implemented dynamic routing to meet evolving customer needs. This led to a reduction in customer delivery miles by 600,000 in 2019.
- Road to rail: ReadyRefresh ships water dispensers to be cleaned and redeployed for use from the West to the East coast by train instead of by truck. Each month, transporting by train saves approximately 100 tons of carbon compared to traveling by truck.
- Renewable energy: All ReadyRefresh branches in Texas use 100% renewable electricity purchased through a power purchase agreement, except for one where the option is unavailable. The renewable electricity helps reduce emissions by 397 tons per year. ReadyRefresh is exploring options to expand its use of renewable electricity to its 11 branches in Florida and Pennsylvania in 2020.

Zephyrhills, FL ⎯ January 14, 2020 ⎯ Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) today announced the results of a new study detailing the significant economic benefits that its three water bottling facilities and 10 branch offices and distribution centers bring to the state of Florida.
The study, conducted by Orlando-based PFM Group Consulting LLC (PFM), formerly Fishkind and Associates, examined the economic and fiscal impacts of NWNA properties and business activities throughout the state.
According to the study, NWNA’s operations in 2018 had a total economic impact of $256,841,566 in the state of Florida. This includes supporting 1,737 direct, indirect, and induced Florida jobs with annual total wages of $93,202,483. Additionally, NWNA purchased $125,644,721 of goods and services, and other operating expenditures made in the state.

New study illuminates consumer confusion about recycling and sentiment toward plastic packaging in the U.S.
STAMFORD, Conn., (Nov. 12, 2019) – Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) today unveils its third annual, comprehensive national study, This is How We Planet: America’s Perspective on Water, Packaging and Health. As part of America Recycles Week (November 11-15), NWNA highlights some of the biggest packaging and recycling challenges facing the U.S. today and how the company has made strides since last year’s America Recycles Week to address them.
The This is How We Planet: America’s Perspective on Water, Packaging and Health Study has revealed:
• 94% of Americans say that our society produces too much plastic waste, and yet 42% of those surveyed say it is easier to throw away plastic in their area than to recycle it.
• Rural communities, in particular, are at a disadvantage, with 52% of rural residents saying that it is easier to throw away plastic in their community than to recycle it.
• Nearly three in four Americans (74%) expect to see more action from companies that use plastic to tackle the problem of plastic waste.
• Only about half of Americans (52%) feel they are aware of what kinds of plastic are and are not recyclable. Those who reported being aware of how to recycle plastics were nearly twice as likely to always recycle compared to those who were not aware (52% compared to 29%).
• Americans overwhelmingly support campaigns that encourage individuals to do more to recycle (86%) and explain the recyclability of different types of plastic (83%).
NWNA acquires Watchung Beverage Delivery service and assumes lease in Lakewood, NJ
STAMFORD, Conn. – Nestlé Waters North America Inc. (NWNA) announced today that it is expanding its ReadyRefresh® by Nestlé® operations with the acquisition of Watchung Spring Water Co., Inc. (Watchung) in Lakewood, New Jersey, one of NWNA’s largest distributors in the U.S. As part of the transaction, NWNA will acquire the Watchung service and assume the lease for the building in which Watchung operated.
The acquisition will broaden the ReadyRefresh footprint to the following New Jersey counties: Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer, Atlantic Cape May, and Cumberland; and enable ReadyRefresh to expand capacity across New Jersey. The purchase agreement was signed on October 9, 2019 and the transaction closed today.
Kid-Friendly Super Hero Bottles Made From 100% rPET and Use Innovative Label Recycling Technology
Stamford, Conn., – Nestlé® Pure Life® has introduced “DC Collection” bottles to its portfolio. The 330mL bottles, which feature DC characters, are made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET) and are 100% recyclable, including the cap.
In stores now, the exciting new ”DC Collection” includes four popular DC characters -- Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and Shazam. Additionally, the bottles have a fun Super Hero symbol on the side of the bottle that encourages kids to finish drinking their water. Once done, they can shine a flashlight through the bottle, projecting the symbol on a wall.
Ice Mountain announced the completion of a new well in Bromley Park. The well provides a much-needed source of water for residents and visitors who utilize Bromley Park.
MECOSTA, Michigan – Ice Mountain® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, part of Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), today announced the completion of a new community well in Bromley Park. Construction of the well was made possible by a donation of approximately $20,000 from NWNA.
The donation funded drilling costs, construction of a cement walkway around the well to provide safe access and protection from erosion, installation of parking posts, and the hiring of an environmental engineering firm to support the Village of Mecosta in obtaining necessary permits and to provide project oversight. Construction of the well began in May 2019, and was successfully completed in time to make it usable by the end of summer into this fall.

Ambitious and Workable New Law Helps take the “Single” out of “Single-Use Plastics”
STAMFORD, Conn. – Nestlé Waters North America applauds the California Legislature for passing Assembly Bill 792 and encourages Governor Gavin Newsom to sign the bill into law. Over the next 11 years, this new law will continue to increase the percentage of recycled content in plastic beverage containers sold in California.
Assembly Bill 792, sponsored by Assembly Members Phil Ting and Jacqui Irwin, passed in the Assembly on September 13th and the Senate in the early morning hours of September 14th.
This ambitious and workable new law will require beverage manufacturers to use 10% recycled plastic in their containers sold in California starting on January 1, 2021. That percentage increases aggressively to 25% by January 1, 2025 and 50% by January 1, 2030. These requirements pertain to all beverage containers subject to the California Redemption Value.
Certification by global, independent entity reaffirms company’s water stewardship efforts

Poland Spring is on track to be first major bottled water brand in the U.S. to convert its portfolio to recycled plastic
Stamford, CT – Poland Spring® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, America’s leading spring water brand, announced today that it has started transitioning its packaging to recycled plastic (rPET), and plans to be the first major bottled water brand to reach 100% recycled plastic across its still water portfolio by 20221 . In April, the brand launched a premium offering, Poland Spring® ORIGIN in 900mL bottles, which are also made entirely of recycled plastic.

Ice Mountain Grant Applications Due July 15
The application for grants from the Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund is now open. Completed applications are due July 15.
The Ice Mountain Environmental Stewardship Fund was established in 2002 by what is now Nestlé Waters North America with an intial investment of $500,000. Grants are made from the fund to sustain the waters and water-dependent natural resources of the Muskegon River Watershed by supporting conservation, enhancement, and restoration projects. The fund provides up to $50,000 annually and typical grants are from $5,000 to $20,000.

Responds to company request for highly respected third-party scientific review of local water levels
Evart, Michigan – May 8, 2019 – At the request of Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has begun monitoring, collecting, and publishing surface water and groundwater data near NWNA’s White Pine Springs site in Osceola Township, Michigan. The USGS is conducting the data collection through a joint funding agreement with NWNA and is being coordinated by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). The White Pine Springs site is one of the spring sources used to produce NWNA’s Ice Mountain® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water.
This project is part of the USGS Groundwater and Streamflow Information Program, which was established to provide a more accurate assessment and status of the country’s water resources, assist in the determination of the quantity and quality of water available for beneficial uses, identify long-term trends in water availability, and improve the ability to forecast the availability of water for economic, energy production, and environmental uses.

RUMFORD, Maine – Poland Spring announced today that it has begun purchasing spring water from the Rumford Water District in Rumford, Maine. As part of the water purchase agreement, Poland Spring’s parent company, Nestlé Waters North America, has created the “Poland Spring Rumford Community Benefit Fund,” which will invest $1.2 million over four years to provide funding for projects identified by the community.
“Since first identifying Rumford as a potential spring water source, we have worked with the local community to determine mutual needs, concerns, and priorities,” said Mark Dubois, Natural Resource Manager for Poland Spring. “We are pleased to be making the initial investment in the Poland Spring Rumford Community Benefit Fund, and the town has set up the structure so that a board of local citizens can determine how best to allocate funding to support projects important to the Town and residents of Rumford.”

NWNA founded the fund in 2002 and supported it with an initial $500,000 investment over a five-year period. The company has continued to provide donations to the fund, in varying amounts, over the past 17 years. This latest $2 million investment will be paid in annual $100,000 installments for the next 20 years.
Poland Spring, ME – To celebrate the First Day of Spring, Poland Spring is launching a new campaign to show what makes spring water special. A new national survey by KRC Research on behalf of Poland Spring highlights that while most Americans drink bottled water, 43% of them admit that they don’t know the difference between spring and purified water. The 300,000 square foot facility will be NWNA’s third manufacturing location in Florida, including its operations in Madison and Pasco counties. The transaction closed on December 28, 2018, and there will be a brief mutually agreed upon post-close transition. Purchase terms were not disclosed.

In celebration of America Recycles Day, Poland Spring and Sea Bags have collaborated to create 100 limited-edition, premium tote bags utilizing sail cloth made from recycled water bottles.
The outside of each bag is made from sail material fabricated from recycled bottles, while the inside is made from Sea Bags’ collection of recycled sail cloth. The bag’s exterior will feature an image of the State of Maine with a heart sewn over Poland, Maine, the home of Poland Spring® 100% Natural Spring Water since 1845. The inside lining design features trivia about the Poland Spring brand, Sea Bags, and Maine. ALLENTOWN, PA – Nestlé Waters North America announced today that it has signed a significant agreement with recycled PET plastic (rPET) supplier CarbonLITE, and that CarbonLITE will expand its U.S. operations by building a third facility in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.
The new contract builds upon Nestlé Waters’ existing relationship with CarbonLITE, one of the largest producers of food-grade, post-consumer rPET, and allow the beverage company to further expand use of recycled materials in its packaging. The company currently purchases rPET from CarbonLITE’s existing facilities in California and Texas.
“We are pleased that CarbonLITE will be locating a facility in a region important to our manufacturing footprint,” says Bill Trackim, Vice President, Head of Supply Chain and Procurement at Nestlé Waters North America. “Being able to purchase rPET in the area helps us better support the regional economy while promoting environmental sustainability through the use of renewable and recyclable materials in our packaging.”
CarbonLITE anticipates the facility will be in full production by early 2020, and will have the ability to recycle over 2 billion post-consumer bottles a year. The new 200,000-square-foot processing facility is anticipated to save 60,000 tons of carbon annually by using post-consumer materials and produce 80 million pounds per year of food-grade rPET pellets.
POLAND, ME – Continuing its long-time support of STEM education and research at the University of Southern Maine (USM), Nestlé Waters North America, through its Poland Spring® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, has awarded a $25,000 “Good Neighbor Grant” to the USM Foundation. The grant will fund an upland watershed monitoring project conducted by the University’s Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) program.

CABAZON, Calif. – Today, Nestlé Waters North America announced the installation and operation commencement of a third wind turbine at its water bottling facility in Cabazon, California. This week also marks the sixth anniversary of the groundbreaking of the facility’s first two wind turbines in 2012.The three turbines combined have a rated capacity of approximately 22 million kilowatt hours a year, and are expected to supply nearly 50 percent of the plant's total electricity needs, while offsetting 18,048 tons of CO2 per year – equivalent to the annual emissions from 1,768 homes or 3,506 passenger vehicles.
Developed by industry leader Foundation Windpower, the third turbine takes the company one step closer toward its goal of being 100 percent powered by renewable energy sources.

HOUSTON, Texas – Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), together with ENGIE Resources, today announced that they have signed a renewable energy agreement through which ENGIE will supply over 50 percent of the energy needed for NWNA’s manufacturing and distribution facilities in Texas. With this agreement, NWNA operations in Travis, McLennan, Dallas, and Harris counties will be supplied by renewable wind energy from the Midway Wind Farm in San Patricio County, Texas, supporting Nestlé’s global goal to transition to 100 percent renewable energy use in its operations.
NWNA will use clean, renewable energy to produce sustainably sourced beverage options for Texans, including the company’s Ozarka® Brand Natural Spring Water and Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water. The agreement will include up to 70,500 renewable energy certificates (RECs) per year from Midway Wind LLC. Based on current electrical usage, by transitioning its electrical power needs to renewable sources, the carbon footprint from the company’s Texas factories will be reduced by more than 44,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent per year. This is the equivalent of taking 9,500 vehicles off the road for one year.

The planned upgrades include re-soddings along the baselines and infields, renovations to the warning tracks and repairs to fences and the irrigation system.
Construction on the fields is scheduled to begin this fall, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned in early April.
ALLENTOWN, PA – Nestlé Waters North America announced today that its Allentown, Pennsylvania factories received certification under the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard. Created and supported by prominent environmental conservation groups, development organizations, and industry leaders, the AWS Standard is the first comprehensive global benchmark for responsible water stewardship across social, environmental, and economic criteria. This achievement was confirmed through audits conducted by SCS Global Services (SCS), a leading international third-party certification body, and sole certifier to the AWS standard in North America.
Nestlé Waters has committed to implementing the AWS Standard at all of its factories around the world by 2025. With the Allentown AWS certification, the company has so far certified 11 Nestlé Waters factories, including seven in North America.
HAVANA – One of the Panhandle’s most picturesque springs will now be protected by a partnership between the Northwest Florida Water Management District, Washington County Commissioners, and Nestlé Waters North America.
The District, Washington County, and Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) will provide for the long-term protection of Cypress Spring and its surrounding property through a conservation easement. The acquisition covers approximately 300 acres, more than 1,000 linear feet of shoreline along Holmes Creek, and Cypress Spring – a second magnitude spring located in Washington County.

STAMFORD, Conn. – For the third time in four years, Nestlé Waters North America has turned over the keys to its former bottling facility in Calistoga, California to the American Red Cross to use as a staging area to help Northern California communities facing wildfires.
“The American Red Cross has a critical need for temporary warehouse space to provide support for victims of the Northern California wildfires,” said Joe Lund, Director of Operations for American Red Cross in Northern California. “In 2015 and then again in 2016, Nestlé Waters North America graciously offered the use of their former bottling plant as a temporary disaster supply center. Allowing the American Red Cross to use the facility again this year for the current fires is giving our response a huge boost.”

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. To become LEED certified, there must be a deliberate effort, from construction to production and maintenance, to use energy and other resources efficiently that ultimately reduce the building’s environmental impact.
Agreement with SMUD Moves Nestlé Waters Towards Nationwide Goal of Using Only Renewable Electricity
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – (APRIL 30, 2018) – Nestlé Waters North America, in partnership with SMUD, today announced agreements that will allow its facility in Sacramento, California to be powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The agreement is a major step towards parent company Nestlé’s global goal to transition to 100-percent renewable electricity use in its operations.
The clean, renewable electricity generated by SMUD will be used by Nestlé Waters North America to produce sustainably-sourced, healthy beverage options for Californians, including the company’s Arrowhead® Brand Mountain Spring Water and Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water. By transitioning its electrical power needs to renewable sources, the carbon footprint of the Nestlé Waters factory will be reduced by more than 21,279 metric tons of carbon dioxide over the next three years.

The Gettysburg branch will provide distribution of a wide variety of bottled water and related beverages to the Gettysburg and Lancaster marketplace. Along with the launch of service throughout the local area, ReadyRefresh will also now operate its first storefront location which consumers will be able to visit and purchase Nestlé Waters product.
Brent Keener Named Nestlé Waters Factory Manager in Chesterfield County

Annual program helps area elementary students engage in environmental science

All Five California Nestlé Waters Factories Certified to Rigorous Water Sustainability Standard
Nestlé Waters North America announced today that its Cabazon and Los Angeles, Calif. factories have received certification against the rigorous Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard, with the Cabazon facility achieving an AWS Gold certification – the first facility in North America to do so.
With the certification of these factories in Cabazon and Los Angeles, all five of the company’s California factories are now certified to the AWS Standard, a priority outlined by the company late last year. California was selected as the first location for AWS certification because of the shared water challenges in the state.

Grants Have Helped Four Communities Recycle Nearly 320,000 Bottles & Cans in Past Six Months
STAMFORD, Conn. (Nov. 13, 2017) –In advance of America Recycles Day, Keep America Beautiful and Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water are honoring four Florida communities that have increased their on-the-go recycling rates. This effort was enabled by a grant from Zephyrhills® that funded 220 recycling bins (100 event recycling and 120 permanent bins) to increase access to recycling on beaches and at other public recreation locations along Florida's waterways. Together, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, Keep Indian River Beautiful, Keep Wakulla County Beautiful and the City of Crystal River have enabled their communities to recycle nearly 320,000 bottles and cans in just the past six months. That equates to roughly 440 recyclables per permanent recycling bin per month.
In April 2017, Keep America Beautiful and Zephyrhills® teamed up to distribute these recycling bins to help keep plastic out of the waterways and landfills and reduce litter in key Florida recreation areas. This past summer, Zephyrhills® expanded the grant to these four communities by gifting picnic tables and bike racks made from 100% recycled plastic that illustrate that recycled plastic can be used to create something new.

ONTARIO, Calif. – (July 26, 2017) – Nestlé Waters North America announced today that its Ontario, California, factory received certification for meeting the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard. Created and supported by prominent environmental conservation groups, development organizations, and industry leaders, the AWS Standard is the first comprehensive global benchmark for responsible water stewardship across social, environmental, and economic criteria.
Conformance with the AWS Standard was audited by SCS Global Services, an international third-party certification body.
Nestlé Waters North America is committed to implementing the stewardship Standard at its five water-bottling facilities in California by the end of 2017. California was selected as the first location for AWS certification because of the shared water challenges in the state, including the recent multi-year drought. The AWS Standard covers a wide variety of watershed issues, including the sustainable water balance, water quality, and shared water challenges within the region where a facility is located.

Stamford, Conn. – (July 24, 2017) – Nestlé Waters North America announced today the launch of a comprehensive, in-home recycling program out of its branch in Syosset, New York. The service is being offered through ReadyRefresh℠ by Nestlé®, the company’s online shopping and delivery service that provides a variety of beverage options directly to the homes of consumers and local businesses.
Starting this week, customers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties will be able to schedule pick-up of their used Nestlé beverage containers at the same time as their regularly scheduled ReadyRefresh delivery. This service is being offered to local customers free of charge, and will include a free “recycling kit” provided by the company, to make recycling and pick-up quick and easy. STAMFORD, Conn. – (June 28, 2017) Access to clean drinking water and the nation's water infrastructure are major concerns for Americans across the country, according to "Perspectives on America's Water," a new study. A total of 6,699 American adults shared their views on water-related topics in this comprehensive online study conducted on behalf of Nestlé Waters North America by the global market research firm PSB in May 2017. The study, the first of its kind to gather both the opinions of the U.S. general population and those of experts in the field, found that water is viewed as the most important natural resource in Americans' daily lives, more so even than clean air (87 percent compared to 81 percent). Yet, 61 percent of American consumers and 66 percent of experts characterized water problems as a crisis or major issue for the United States.

CO2 Savings the Equivalent of Taking 13,349 Cars off the Road for a Year

R&D Partnership to Accelerate Food and Beverage Industry Breakthrough
First New Bottles to Reach Store Shelves in 2020

Danone and Nestlé Waters, the world’s two largest bottled water companies, have joined forces with Origin Materials, a startup based in Sacramento, California, to form the NaturALL Bottle Alliance. Together, the three partners aim to develop and launch at commercial scale a PET plastic bottle made from bio-based material, i.e. 100% sustainable and renewable resources. The project uses biomass feedstocks, such as previously used cardboard and sawdust, so it does not divert resources or land from food production for human or animal consumption. The technology represents a scientific breakthrough for the sector, and the Alliance aims to make it available to the entire food and beverage industry.
Teaming up to accelerate development of 100% bio-based bottles
For decades, both Nestlé Waters and Danone have been committed to sustainable business practices, notably by continuously improving their environmental performances and promoting the development of a circular economy. A large part of these efforts has focused on developing innovative packaging solutions that are recyclable and made with renewable resources, as well as the promotion of recycling. (Feb. 28, 2017) – The Coca-Cola Company, Nestlé Waters North America, the PepsiCo Foundation and the Walmart Foundation today announced that they have partnered to fund an integrated recycling education and awareness initiative for the 10,000 school students affected by the Flint water crisis, led by national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful and its local Flint, Michigan, affiliate Keep Genesee County Beautiful (KGCB).
In January 2016, the four companies announced they would provide up to 6.5 million bottles of safe and clean drinking water to Flint school students. Steady consumer demand drives investment; about 20 new jobs created at Stanwood plant

As part of this initiative, Nestlé Waters has included its apprenticeship program with the Maine Department of Labor’s (MDOL) application for grant funding under the U.S Department of Labor’s new ApprenticeshipUSA program. “Healthy Hand-off” Program Engages 9,000 Employees to Choose Donation Recipients
STAMFORD, CT AND GUELPH, ONT — September 6, 2016 — Nestlé Waters North America and Nestlé Waters Canada today challenged their 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada to give away one million bottles of water to the people or causes of their choice by the end of 2016.
Nestlé Waters’ employees will choose who they give water to in two phases: direct person-to-person gift coupon distribution beginning now, and larger donations by location rolling out this fall, in which employees at each of Nestlé Waters North America and Nestlé Waters Canada locations will collectively vote to select the recipient for this donation. In this second phase, teams at 93 company locations across the U.S. and Canada will each choose a local non-profit organization – from local schools to community centers to town libraries – to receive a large donation of water.
The new employee program, called “Healthy Hand-off,” engages staff at every level, enabling them to decide for themselves where to direct their own giveaways. The program is designed to move beyond the traditional top-down, corporate giving model and underscore the company’s commitment to making a difference in the many communities where employees live and work.
Combined Efforts Will Deliver Nearly Half a Million Bottles of Water to Families in Need
STAMFORD, CONN. — August 25, 2016 — Nestlé Waters North America and its disaster relief partners, AmeriCares, Feeding America and Gleaning For the World, are delivering more than 475,000 bottles of water to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where a catastrophic flood has displaced thousands of people. Twenty-two truckloads, carrying 21,600 bottles each of Ozarka® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, are being dispatched to disaster relief sites and food banks.
An estimated 60,000 homes have been damaged, while schools and businesses have been shut down for days. The current flooding in Louisiana is the worst natural disaster to strike the United States since Superstorm Sandy in 2012, according to the Red Cross.

Project Opportunity expands apprenticeship opportunities to 31 Nestlé factories in the U.S. and commits to reaching 300,000 with “readiness for work” activities by 2017
July 9, 2015, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Nestlé in the United States launched Project Opportunity, a new career acceleration initiative to help people of all ages gain work experience and strengthen their professional development skills in food and beverage manufacturing. As part of Nestlé’s broader global initiative to address the global unemployment crisis, the company has pledged to expand its apprenticeship program to 31 Nestlé factories in the United States, hire 1,000 paid interns and trainees by 2017, and reach 300,000 people with “readiness for work” activities annually.
Project Opportunity will expand the number of Nestlé apprenticeships from 20 to 136 across its U.S. operations by 2017, offering an up to three-year program that combines on-the-job and coursework-based training to develop critical manufacturing job skills. This year, Project Opportunity’s apprenticeship program will launch for Electrical and Controls Technicians, and in 2016, Nestlé will begin the Maintenance Mechanic apprenticeship program.

Company has donated more than 2 million bottles of water since 2006
TORONTO, Ontario – Nestlé Waters Canada, Canada’s marketshare-leading manufacturer and distributor of healthy beverage choices, today announced that it has donated $64,763 worth of bottled water to Project Water, a volunteer organization that distributes bottled water to those living on Greater Toronto Area streets who suffer from dehydration during the Summer months.
Project Water will distribute bottled water to more than 150 social service agencies over the next few months that work with the homeless and needy in Toronto and across the GTA. The Company’s donation helps to support the Friends of Mill Creek in its efforts to undertake fisheries and stream rehabilitation works, including stream bank reconstruction, stream bed re-grading, tree planting, culvert replacement and farm fencing repair. The work is performed by the Mill Creek Stewardship Rangers, four local high school students and a crew leader hired over an eight-week period during each summer. Educational opportunities are combined with this practical experience. The Rangers will complete their work effort for this year on August 21st.
