Aug 29, 2017

Nestlé Waters North America is actively donating many truckloads of bottled water to help those directly affected by Hurricane Harvey, both in Texas and Louisiana.

As of yesterday (August 31), we had sent 41 truckloads of bottled water to aid local residents.

In total, Nestlé Waters has donated over 1.3 million bottles of water to this important cause.

To get the water where it is most needed, we work through our relief partners on the ground:  Americares, the American Red Cross, Gleaning for the World, Convoy of Hope and Feeding America.  Recipients of our bottled water include the Salvation Army, first responders and local food banks.

We will continue to assist our partners as needed in the days ahead.

Status update regarding our operations in Texas:

As we wait for Hurricane Harvey to move out of our area and then assess the damage, the safety of our employees, customers, partners and neighbors remains our top priority. We are relieved to report that we are in regular contact with all of our employees and that they are all safe. We hope to be able to get our Pasadena and South Houston factories and North and South Houston ReadyRefresh branches back up and running as quickly as possible so that we can return to providing water to the residents and stores in and around Houston. Over the next couple of days, we will be determining the status of our facilities, conducting water quality tests, and preparing to restart operations. There are many variables that we will take into consideration, including the re-opening of facility access roads and highways, and the availability of water tankers and delivery trucks, and we are focusing on safety over speed.
