As part of our ongoing commitment to minimize our environmental footprint, Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) recently introduced a new 700-mL Nestlé® Pure Life® bottle made entirely from 100 percent recycled plastic* known as rPET. The new packaging, which began hitting retail store shelves across North America in February, marks an important milestone for our company as we work to increase the use of recycled plastic in the bottles of all our domestic brands.

“This is an exciting achievement for our company,” shared Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Tara Carraro. “We recognize our role in addressing environmental issues related to plastic and are extremely committed to doing our part to contribute solutions. This includes continuous efforts around packaging innovations and improvements that reduce our environmental footprint, as well as various partnerships and initiatives dedicated to help educate and inspire consumers to recycle.”

The new Nestlé® Pure Life® bottles feature a modern, premium design, along with the new branding launched last year under the banner of “Pure Life Begins Now™” which aims to elevate the importance of quality water in people’s lives.

In addition to our new rPET bottle, we have also:

Reduced the plastic content of all our half-liter water bottles by over 60 percent

Avoiding the use of more than six billion pounds of plastic

Worked diligently to increase the amount of recycled content in our bottles

One hundred percent of our single-serve bottles of Arrowhead® Brand Mountain Spring Water and Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water produced in California are made with 50 percent recycled plastic.

*Excludes label and cap, which are recyclable, but not made from rPET.
