Earlier this month, more than 150 Red Cross volunteers from the Metro New York North chapter gathered to celebrate March is Red Cross Month in New Windsor, NY. The event included an awards breakfast, where NWNA was awarded the American Red Cross Corporate Partnership Award.
The Corporate Partnership award is presented to an organization that has made significant contributions to the local, national or international Red Cross. Typically, nominations for outstanding organizations are submitted each year at a volunteer recognition committee meeting by the CEO of the American Red Cross and staff members based throughout the Metro New York North Chapter. The Chapter currently serves the Greenwich Connecticut, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange and Sullivan Counties.
According to Andrew Sindell, Manager, Volunteer Services, American Red Cross-Metro NY North Chapter, “Nestlé Waters has been an extraordinary supporter and partner of the Red Cross for more than a decade. Working closely with our disaster team, together they determine where the greatest need is and helps by supplying truckloads of water across the country when disaster strikes. On a local basis they monitor our water supply, support our Safety Town initiatives and our major fundraiser the Red & White Ball, host blood drives across the country, and recently joined our Home Fire Campaign. We are delighted to present Nestlé Waters with the Corporate Sponsorship Award.”
