Tara Carraro joined Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) in March 2016 as Executive Vice President & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. She is a member of the Executive Team. Tara is responsible for leading the continued development and evolution of the company's Corporate Affairs strategy to enhance Nestlé Waters' corporate reputation.
She has a wealth of experience at blue-chip corporations encompassing a broad range of communications disciplines, with a specialty in reputation and issues management. In her current role, Tara oversees the NWNA Corporate Affairs team and guides the company's strategy and planning, executive communication and thought leadership, media relations, crisis and issues management, government relations, and employee communications and advocacy.
Prior to joining NWNA, Tara was a Senior Vice President, Communications for WWE® – an integrated media organization and recognized leader in global entertainment – where she was responsible for global communications.
Before her time at WWE, Tara served as Senior Director, Corporate Communications at Heineken USA, furthering the company's strategic business priorities and enhancing its reputation. Prior to that, Tara spent 15 years at the Altria family of companies where she focused on reputation management, external communications, and corporate identity strategy. Earlier in her career, Tara served as a Media Programs Manager for Philip Morris USA and began her career at Pepsi-Cola International.
Tara earned a Bachelor's degree in Television/Radio with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in political science from Ithaca College.
She currently serves as Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee for The International Bottled Water Association, an organization that unifies the bottled water industry and represents uncompromising commitment to the safety and availability of bottled water worldwide. She is also a Board Member and Secretary for Make A Wish CT, an organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
