Morton Township received a $10,000 donation from Nestlé Waters North America Inc. (NWNA) to help support the community’s recycling center.

Since 2012, Nestlé Waters has contributed a total of $95,000 to Morton Township to help support the recycling center’s operations, including the purchase of a compactor in 2015.

“Nestlé Waters’ donation to the Morton Township Recycling Center is meaningful and greatly appreciated,” said Morton Township supervisor Mark Klumpp. “The Township’s success in collecting tons of recyclable materials is a direct result of their long-term support of our program.”

The Morton Township recycling program serves approximately 250 customers per week. The recycling center is located at 8560 Midstate Drive in Mecosta. It is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. “Nestlé Waters North America is pleased to support the Morton Township Recycling Center and its important work of keeping materials out of landfills,” said NWNA Natural Resource Manager Arlene Anderson-Vincent. “We take our commitment to the environment and being a good neighbor very seriously. Ice Mountain bottles are carefully designed to be 100 percent recyclable, and our goal is to help them get transformed into new bottles, so it’s a natural fit to help sustain recycling efforts in our community.”
