Nestlé Waters North America’s Response to Snowstorm Uri

Go back to Press Releases

Nestlé Waters North America aims to provide clean, fresh drinking water in a timely manner, keeping the safety of our employees and the community top of mind. In response to the hazardous weather conditions in Texas, on February 14, we shut down our Texas factories in Pasadena, Dallas and Hawkins. As of February 19, all three factories have re-opened and started operating 24/7 to provide our retail customers with the product they need, when and where they need it to help them restock shelves and serve their shoppers.

Donations

Throughout Texas, we are coordinating with local food banks, communities and national relief organizations, such as Americares and Convoy of Hope, to provide bottled water to meet the needs of those impacted by the storm. Since the storm hit, we have delivered more than 760,000 bottles of water to be distributed across Texas, including Amarillo, Arlington, Victoria, Wichita Falls and Corpus Christi, and more than 72,000 bottles of water across Oklahoma.

Price Gouging

Pricing for consumer retail sales of bottled water is set by the retailers, not NWNA. We are strongly opposed to price gouging on our products and encourage consumers to report any instance of price gouging to Texas Attorney General Paxton: www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection or (800) 621-0508.
