Stamford, Conn. – (July 24, 2017) – Nestlé Waters North America announced today the launch of a comprehensive, in-home recycling program out of its branch in Syosset, New York. The service is being offered through ReadyRefresh by Nestlé®,the company’s online shopping and delivery service that provides a variety of beverage options directly to the homes of consumers and local businesses.

Starting this week, customers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties will be able to schedule pick-up of their used Nestlé beverage containers at the same time as their regularly scheduled ReadyRefresh delivery. This service is being offered to local customers free of charge, and will include a free “recycling kit” provided by the company, to make recycling and pick-up quick and easy. ReadyRefresh customers opting into the program will also earn credit – five cents per bottle or can – on their next order.

“At Nestlé Waters, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, and we want our customers to be a part that,” said Henrik Jelert, Executive Vice President, ReadyRefresh by Nestlé®. “It is our ambition that each one of our bottles or cans gets recycled, and that means empowering our customers to do their part. We want to make it as easy and convenient for our customers to recycle their containers as it is to have their favorite beverages delivered right to their door.”

ReadyRefresh makes it easy and convenient for customers and their families to live healthier lifestyles by providing beverage options for every taste, with no long-term commitments, and guaranteed customer satisfaction. ReadyRefresh delivers a variety of well-known brands, such as Poland Spring® Brand Natural Spring Water, Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water, and S.Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, in an assortment of sizes.

The Syosset recycling program is just the latest in Nestlé Waters’ efforts to enhance quality of life and contribute to a healthier future for individuals and families, communities, and for the planet. In May, the company announced a $6 million investment in the Closed Loop Fund, a social impact investment fund that provides cities and companies access to the capital required to build comprehensive recycling programs. In April, Nestlé Waters joined the How2Recycle® labeling program to educate consumers on how to recycle packaging correctly. How2Recycle® encompasses over 60 brand-owner members that represent over $295 billion in sales revenue in North America.
