Since it was launched in 1980, Make-A-Wish has transformed the lives of thousands of children in need. As the board’s current chairperson, previous board member and generous donor, Michelle Wilson has made an impact on every level of Make-A-Wish Connecticut. On a national level, she has been a Make-A-Wish Corporate Advisory Council Member and trusted advisor for the re-energized World Wish Day campaign. She has also been instrumental in generating new leads in the industry for sponsors and key influencers.
In addition, in 2018 Michelle received the national organization’s Chris Greicius Celebrity Award, named for Chris Greicius, a 7-year-old boy whose wish to be a police officer inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish. She was one of four individuals honored for uniquely delivering unforgettable wish experiences, while also increasing awareness and fundraising efforts for the world’s largest wish granting organization.
Michelle has a proven track record in brand building, growth of established businesses, innovation and creation of new entities. Her career spans world-class organizations including Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco, the National Basketball Association (NBA), United States Tennis Association (USTA) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Most recently, Michelle served as Co-President of WWE, the global entertainment company with annual revenue of nearly $1 billion, leading day-to-day operations and overseeing all lines of revenue.
She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Chemical Engineering and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
